There are several types of Salmon Fishing available

Spring Chinook Salmon or Springers as they are commonly called are the best eating salmon by far. They return from the sea with enough fat to sustain themselves in fresh water until they spawn in the fall. The prime months to pursue them are March through May. They weigh 10-40 lbs.  Don't miss out on this incredible run! Book now!

Summer Chinook pursued during June and July in the vicinity of Portland, these fish also come into the Columbia packing lots of oil. Hot and heavy fish (20-50 lbs.), low angling pressure and good weather. This fishery is making a big comeback. Half day trips are practical depending on the tides. Some Steelhead fishing is also available during part of this time.

We mainly pursue Coho (Silvers) and Fall Chinook during July, August and September in the Lower Columbia and Pacific. We launch in the Astoria area. These are very aggressive salmon. Good eating. Very productive fishing where limits are common. We catch Fall Chinook in the lower Columbia and Pacific along with the Coho and then follow the Chinook up the Columbia during September. The best eating strain of Fall Chinook, "Up River Brights", can be pursued near the Portland area. Fall Chinook generally weigh 15-50 lbs. Coho range from 5-18lbs.
